Edinburgh to Ploviv 15 Jan

Just been told that my flight from Humberside to Plovdiv on 15 Jan will be direct but coming back I've got to go to Edinburgh before flying down to Humberside. I wondered why the flight home was an extra hour and a half.
Anyone flying from Edinburgh been told that you will be stopping off at Humberside to pick us up on the way out ?
4 weeks on Sunday - can't wait.
