Didn't make it out there myself but all my clients came back raving and some have re-booked for next year. But that is the independant market and not the tour operators. Pamporovo needs the tour operator market badly. I totally echo everything that Pete said above.If Ryan air make the decision next month to fly into Plovdiv I wonder if that will influence the decision making for the tour operators too?

Bansko Heaven, 6th-13th March. Snow conditions excellent, temperatures good. Did any one else see the lads from Moscow sun bathing topless at Shiligarnika? They thought the temps were positively tropical compared to home!

My surprise this season was the numbers, we were out at xmas and new year and in march, and ive never seen the place as quiet, Makes for great skiing but is not sustainable. It did have a big effect on the bars and restaurants and prices became very reasonable, the trouble is the people renting the bars were still paying ridiculous rents for the season, so theyve suffered. On a positive point looks like the end of Borosport!

My surprise this season was the numbers, we were out at xmas and new year and in march, and ive never seen the place as quiet, Makes for great skiing but is not sustainable. It did have a big effect on the bars and restaurants and prices became very reasonable, the trouble is the people renting the bars were still paying ridiculous rents for the season, so theyve suffered. On a positive point looks like the end of Borosport!

went to Bansko over christmas.
Apart from the stress of the BA strike had a great time. Fantastic transfer thanks to Steve abd Wendy, Brill ski instructor for my daughter, just a shame she is no longer young and fearless (her words not ours). snow was patchy in places but ULEN worked hard at night to cover all these, yes thats right ULEN did a good job on the mountain. Food prices seemed a lot lower than previous years. The only problem around 28th december was the number of people ...

Despite lack of snow we had a great time in Jan (for my husbands birthday) and then again in Feb both in Boro. Already booked for Boro Feb next year, will book Jan and/or Mar nearer the time and this year we are also going to Boro in August, can't wait to see the mountain in summer.
Its a shame the holiday companies don't extend the season - They will never give up Xmas/New Year custom as people seem to be willing to pay nearly double the price for their holiday but they do need to shift ...

Hopefuly your same Fraser. If so it was a pleasure watching the the team skiing. We were the three older lads sitting in on your guess night.
