Equipment hire confusion

Have been reading some of the comments about the distribution of equipment in boro and it sounds worse than the january sales.Does boro not operate the same as pamps in that if you pre book your ski's etc, you turn up at the ski depot give your name and all your equipment has been reserved under a particular number. This was how it worked last year in pamps

It didn't work like that in Pamps. I have been there for 3 years and they never knew my shoe size prior to arriving at the boot room. Never had a problem mind! I travelled with Balkan and I think other operators could have had differant arrangements though.

Not for us!! It was only when the lads walked off in disgust that me and my sister managed to acquire some boards from the two men in the Rila Depot. One of them was very helpful, the other wanted to make sure he spoilt everyone's fun!! It's worth going back several times to make sure you get the best boots - my boyfriend's were soaked after one hour but he ended up with a decent pair of Salomon's.

Travel with balkan tours ireland(not balkan holidays). When booking holiday they took your shoe size/height and when you arrived at ski depot everything there for you under a reserved number--- boots in a numbered pigeon hole and ski's/poles on a numbered rack. Traveling with them again this year and they insisted on getting same details. Hope everything runs as smoothly as it did last year
