No, it'll be euro in 2011 if all goes according to plan.

Take enough leva to get you through the first day or two, then just change sterling in resort - then you won't have the problem of changing back. Most hotels do exchange at fair rate.

take sterling 20s and 10s clean with no writing on change at hotel / kiosks/or bank you should get around 2.80 levs to the pound

Just because Bg is in the EU now it doesnt mean they will have Euros. We are in the Eu do we have Euros? No we have pounds!

I have been back and forth about this.. Take LEVS Bank of Ireland do them but hav to order a week in advance and when I booked mine I got 2.7 to the Euro... Speaking to friends from last year that we there we taking between 300- 500 euro in Levs

Hi, just got back from Bansko and they will exchange sterling and the Euro for lev. I took 315 Euro I had left from previous hol and exchanged them for lev easily. I also changed £100 sterling at the airport getting approx 2.6 lev per £1, but if you order through travelex (and give them 24hrs notice) you can pick up from the airport at approx 2.8 lev commission free. Was also able to change £50 notes in hotel and got approx 2.8 lev per £.
