Deffo being televised cos I nearly fell down the trench they'd dug for the TV cables when coming down onto the Ski road at the Gondola station on Thursday
I've just come back and they do have a tv crew there but I'm not sure if it's broadcasting outsided BG, to be honest if it's on I think quite a few of the vistors from last week will puke at the thought of anyone watching it as the comp is being held at the visitors expense. - you need to bear in mind that two of the best runs were kept out of commission for most of last week & we had to make do with only three crowded and icy runs, they also removed the portable snow cannons from a lot of ...

I'm sure it's not but when they close down 2 of the 5 runs & make all the feepaying guests use one list it's a bit crap - also the amount of time & effort spent they put-in arranging "their day out" should have been spent on the paying guests not the "national ski teams, their families and the press pack" whom were following them around - don't get me wrong Bansko is a great place it's just that corporate boll**ks sems to over been the order of the week!
HI Jamifly
Commercial reality I s'pose. It didn't bother me that much last week that some effort was being directed in the event - it's HUGE opportunity to plug Bulgarian ski facilities which in turn generates more visitors, which brings in dosh which can be used to develop the facilities.
I can understand the frustration esp. re the Tomba run not being available but the weather contributed to that early in the week.
Personally, I hope it goes well for Bansko so it's shown in a ...

Personally, I hope it goes well for Bansko so it's shown in a brilliant light so people like Tamara will have no opportunity to spout their mis-info about Bulgarian ski resorts.
