Euros or Lev

Euros or Lev

Can anyone advice me as to which currency to take to Bansko this December. Some people told me euros are accepted but you sometimes get lev as change? Has anyone found this or are they able to take euros for everything?

they may take euro but I always use Lev, reckon you will get more for your money using their currency rather than euro

Take £ (if you are from UK) and exchange them over there for Leva - a much better rate of exchange than you will get anywhere in uk

Amanda do not bother with Euros unless of course you are from Republic of Ireland. Either change here for Levs or take Sterling clean notes no rips or writing on and change in resort for a slightly better rate. But make sure you change at your hotel or a Bank do not go to any boothes that you may see offering fantastic rates as these will rip you off.

take a cash card and draw it the atms in leva. Nationwide is best as there are no charges
