Euros or Lev?

Euros or Lev?

Hi everyone,

As I'll be travelling from the UAE and exchanging from AED I was just wondering whether it's best to just change to Euros , Lev or a combination of both? Are Euros widely accepted everywhere? I've noticed from another post that it's better to exchange GBP in the resort but I doubt they'll want my Dirhams!

Dependent on rate i would exchange at home... the banks though will exchange with a commission, the rate at the moment, 1 AED - 0.48BGN less commission (varies)
If you bring Euro nowhere will accept them as payment for goods or services, but exchanging for BGN is easier, kiosks etc.. 1E - 1.956BGN

Bulgaria's currency is Lv....... all shops etc only accept Lv.
