Exchange cash or hit the ATM's?

Hi everyone, ive got 1.5 hours til work has finished and the fun begins!! going to pamps tomorrow and just wanted to know if there is a better exchange rate in the resort (take cash over) or if its ok just to hit up the ATM's......

Any insight would be great!

Either exchange rate in resort is about 2.80 Levs to the pound. Atms also give favourable rates

Have a great time Simo - Pamps is fantastic

There are several ATMs in Pamps, and I've used them in the past. Just double check for cloning devices etc. Be warned though - they occasionally run out of money and/or suffer network failure. If that does happen to you, go to the bank - its halfway up the hill on the side of the Perelik hotel. They will put your card thru a terminal and advance you the money - think it cost abut 1% when I did it last year.

re: Exchange cash or hit the ATM's?

I drew money out of the bank in Chepelare - 400 lev and got an exchange rate of 2.87 and my bank, Halifax only charged me £1.50 for the privilege. The exchange rate generally is much better in Chepelare - on exchanging Sterling cash at Hebros Bank, at the end of Vasil Detchev (the main Street), we were getting 2.97 or so. Just need your passport as you would anywhere

Enjoy you lucky buggers!!
