Exchanging Sterling in Bansko

Hello Everybody

Can't wait - 33 of us going to Bansko this Sunday staying at the Strazhite.

Sorry to ask the same question that has probably been asked a thousand times but does anybody know which specific bars you can exchange sterling at in Bansko? Does the Lion Bar exchange money for you?

I used to change money in Pamporova with the guy who ran BJ's who gave 3 Lev to the pound! Just seeing if there is anywhere similar in Bansko.

Cheers

You wouldn't be part of the Failsworth(sp?) 34 would you?

All the hotels will change currency for you and are usually at a pretty good rate.

I certainly am. Who are you and when do you go skiing?

What does the "sp?" after Failsworth mean?

I know the hotels exchange sterling but you get a better rate off the dodgy bar owners !!!

Beano - good news finding that 10 lev mate - first Zagorka on you then!

I am Hornster and the sp? after Failsworth stands for "spelling" as I wasn't sure if I had spelt Failsworth correctly. Me and the other half are also flying out to Bansko this Saturday from Gatwick.

We'll be on the look out for some doggy barman I guess! Always after a better deal!!

10 levs eh!!!

I would expect a few flagons of foaming ale, and a bit of hanky panky with a painted lady for that much.

Earl Wakey.

Nice one - we'll probably see you in the Lion Bar to watch the United Chelsea game on Wednesday then!!!

Failsworth was spelt correctly incidently, you must have seen postings from Lord Lewis or Earl Wakey (friends of mine)

Are you staying at the Strazhite also and is this your first time to Bansko?

Yeah, I saw postings from Lord Lewis. Yip, we are also staying at the Strazhite and is our first time to Bansko. We have been to Pamporovo though, had such a good time that we are going back, but this time to Bansko for a change of scenery.

Enjoy it!! Very Happy Booze
