Excitement starting to Grow

Its great to see the board becoming busier over the last week. Theres no doubt from the messages that people have finished the summer holidays and are now looking forward to bulgaria again. Cant...........believe it !!! Phew nearly slipped pout there. We're for Borovets this year for the first time after two glorious years in pamps. Stayin in the Eglika. Can anyone tell me the layout, bars, good eating joints etc. Many thanks in advance

If you are in the Iglika Palace, then it is located directly behind the Rila.

You can use their lobby and stairs as a short cut to the Iglika. Max 2 min walk (tortoise style).

Haven't stayed there myself but heard good reports on here.

Hvent stayed there as we usually just stay in rila for pure handiness but have heard really good reports about the iglika. Apparantly the hotel itself does good food from what a few ppl have said to me. As for layout, when you go through the rila and out the front you are on the slopes and the town is just like a wee street lined with restaurants and bars. Most of the places do good food, we usually eat out most nights as food in the rial aint great.

I'm staying in the Iglika for the 3rd year running, so it cant be that bad

Me and my friends have always enjoyed ourselves there. The food is a nice mixture but always have a go of everything, you can be very suprised on how good it can be. The rooms are basic but cleaned daily, and if you get a tv with every tv station, you are a lucky one.

As posted before its a 2 minute walk through the Rila and you are right at the bottom of the nursery slopes.
