Hi Pete
It's the pain with the boots again went to a ski shop today and explained problems I was having with my boots last year and tried some of their boots which gave same probs and they said I needed a custom made footbed as because of probs with my knees are causing posture probs which is giving me the pain in calves with the cramp. Also apparently I have qute a difficult shape foot very small size 23 with a narrow ankle, very wide top part and low instep. Don't really know what all that means other than I need help. Can you do custom made footbeds or will I need to try to get them done here before coming out? Thanks
Dona
Colin does all this make sense.....I am the person who was talking to you the other day about how I have small feet but huge calves.
hi i have custom made footbeds and they make a great diffrence to the comfort of your feet and legs if i were you i would not hesitate in getting them i wore my boots from 9-5 and they were as comfy as my cat boots best thing ever
Thanks am definitely gonna get them done just hoping Pete can do them for me out in pamps as I feel safe with him after all the hassle I had last year. He really helped me out and saved my hol.
it all makes perfect sense but yuo also need to find out if there is any tighness in the calf muscles as this can be what is causing the position of your feet in the first place... all too often shops will tell you that it is the feet causing the problems when it could be a problem originating in the pelvis which is causing the problem at the feet.

Dona,
it all makes perfect sense but yuo also need to find out if there is any tighness in the calf muscles as this can be what is causing the position of your feet in the first place... all too often shops will tell you that it is the feet causing the problems when it could be a problem originating in the pelvis which is causing the problem at the feet.
if your foot is collpased or pronated then it is key that the footbed is well made, it may be best to have a product made in a a non weight bearing position as this will capture optimimum foot shape and reduce the collapse when you put them in the boots, if the product is made with you standing on it then it may be already collapsed before you even ski on it.
Thanks Colin apparently I have odd feet but they think the problem seems to be in my knee problems affecting how I stand especially when in the boots. Am beginning to think maybe I need to give up and take up knitting lol.
