FAO Pamp Pete

Hi Pete,

the slopesat pamps were closed on sat as could not get up the lifts due to high winds... we want to claim on our insurance but nobody in pamps would write anything down for us... do you know how i can get the proof for insurance purposes? Had a great time though

Can only suggest you quote your reps name to your travel company for confirmation, but whether you can claim for just 1 days closure is doubtful. Also I believe your claim may only be valid if the slopes were closed due to lack of snow - not safety reasons due to high winds.

The Balkan insurance states quite clearly in bold letters.... Please note that this does not apply if the lifts are closed due to bad weather, high winds etc.

The rep said the ski school had to deal with it but they wouldn't... insurance pays £20 per day for closure...

Will be irritating if can't claim as there was no way we could get up the slopes as they wouldn't put the lifts on - understandably as the wind was terrible but everyone was told no skiing - some people said they'd walk up and were told no!

Cheers... I'll look in to it... we didn't get balkan insurance... used JS insurance
