Hello there, we stayed and were double booked at the Pamporovo hotel at the same time as you, we were the group of 17. Anyway as soon as we returned home we wrote a letter of complaint to our travel agents, they wrote back stating that they were very upset to here what had happened and promised to forward our letter of complaint to Balkan Holidays. Hello there, we stayed and were double booked at the Pamporovo hotel at the same time as you, we were the group of 17. Anyway as soon as we returned home we wrote a letter of complaint to our travel agents, they wrote back stating that they were very upset to here what had happened and promised to forward our letter of complaint to Balkan Holidays. On Friday we recieved a letter from them saying that they to were upset to here of our plight and although they exonerated themselves from any blame they have offered us £50 each as compensation for the 11 members who were booked in our party. We are writing to accept their offer
but we will never use Balkan Holidays or the Hotel Pamporovo again. We have booked at the Hotel Miramonti in Passo Tonale, Italy and our group has snowballed (sorry) to 22, Thats over £10,000 they have missed out on.
Please let us know how you get on with your complaint, take care and maybe we might bump into one another again.

The problem lies with the hotel owners and not the tour operator. The owners from what I can make out are just being greedy with the bookings. I would never now recomend the Pamporovo because of the problems this season. but would have no problem with Balkan they really are innocent.re: FAO Pete & Caryn
Sounds as though Balkan Holidays have acted quite reasonably 50GBP each, don't hold them to account, its the greedy hoteliers. Victoria Group AGAIN. Stay clear of Hotel Pamporovo, Hotel Chaika Beach, Hotel Victoria Palace and their property in Elenite. And anywhere else that states the name VICTORIA GROUP!!!

Well at least you have got an offer, we are still waiting. I paid £193 under occupancy so I want that back at worst. This still means I paid 3 full adult prices for a room which should have been for 2.My sister inlaw has been offered £200 so that sounds equal to your offer at £50 per person, no way am I accepting that. Will keep you posted.
We probably will go back next year, but at the Perilick, and avoid the local holiday hopefully.
