hi there,
regarding your earlier comments on exercising,
im not the ex husband of and I do know what im talking about. I'm 42 and i've been skiing since i was 11, for 2 years in Norway, national youth team, slalom competition racing, 3 years university team captain, slalom racing. Jogging is one of the worst things you can do if you've not done it before, as it will impact the cartilage and synovial fluid heavily due to joint impact. Cycling admittedly would be a very good excercise, although that does not duplicate the skiing position. the exercise i recommended is low joint impact but relatively high muscular impact which is the required exercise for that position. The ankle excercise i recommended is also of low joint impact but high calf muscle stress which trains the muscles without damaging the joints. So please feel free to comment on any of my points. Anyone that recommends impact exercise for relatively unfit people should be locked up. As for myself I wont be replying, i am purely justifying my reasons from my more than adequate skiing experiences.
kind regards
Marc
