International Ski Federation (FIS) voted today for Bansko to host the starts for Women's World Cup in Alpine skiing (Super-G and combined alpine), February 28-March 1, 2015

From season 2013/14 super combined (Super-G - slalom) will be called Alpine combined. Expected name of the new discipline to be confirmed in October in Zurich.

The decision to host the Bansko is the Committee for the World Cup, whose meeting was part of the FIS calendar conference in Dubrovnik (Herve).

"I fought for these dates with St. Moritz," said President of Dubrovnik BFSki Tzeko Minev. "Swiss resort will take starts earlier this season. Bansko has already established name and is part of the family of resorts, which are hosted rounds of the World Cup. There is an option for season 2016/17 Bansko to host races of the men's World Cup. "

Until now Bansko has hosted four World Cups. Last resort adopted in 2011/12 season races for men and women, and received very high praise from the leadership of the FIS.

Bansko has already been confirmed in the calendar of the International Federation to host the World Cup for season 2015/16. Then in Todorka will take place downhill and Super-G for women (20 to 12 February).
