Just back from our 6th visit to Boro. (5th time in Samokov Hotel)
What a great week. Conditions not the best we've seen but skiied every day and enjoyed every minute.
As it was our wedding anniversary while there, emailed the hotel which resulted in a complimentary room upgrade, nice touch.
First meal out was in the Green King, bargain beer 2.50 Leva with the current exchange rate that works out about £1.15 a pint. Food very nice and reasonably priced with good friendly service.

Most lunchtimes spent in the Elite (just by bottom gondala station it has a wooden rocking horse outside, nice food and friendly service)
Our last evening meal was in the Golden Horn, again good food, reasonable price and friendly service.
Had a fab group in the Samokov Ski School, great service in the ski depot and can never fault our instructor Miro (5th time we've skiied with him, if any of you ski with him tell him we say hi and we'll see him next year)
Tried something different this time, got up a little earlier and caught the first gondola up, what a joy to ski Marky 1 and be the only 2 people on the slope, AMAZING. Then bacon rolls in the White House after the first solitary run, mega!!
More on the White House, very warm welcome, english tea and warm rakia well worth sampling.
Our departure day was spent in the White House helping Kas celebrate her birthday, what a day. Never have we had such good fun on the day we were leaving and i had real trouble getting hubby on the transfer bus to the airport.
The only thing that could have made the holiday better was a little more snow to open up the Mussala Pathway.
Huge thanks to Kas, Bobby, George, Vanya & Zara in the White House, always a warm welcome and great prices for the top of the mountain).
Also big thanks to Samokov Ski School especially Miro and Nik and his team in the Ski Depot.
Apologies for the lengthy post but thought it only fair to mention all those that deserve it.
For all going out have a great time and enjoy the atmosphere.
