Hi
I was umming and arring all week to whether or not I should invest in some dodgy DVD action that are for sale on the streets and hotels of Boro. They are £5 each and are the latest releases (some arent even out in the cinema yet)

On the last day I decided to go take a look. As I was about to buy a couple, an English bloke came back to the stand and told the bloke selling them that the DVD he bought would only play in Russian. The bloke tried it, and yes, only russian language came out. They have demos that show it in English, but I honestly wouldnt take the risk.
I just thought I would post this to advise anyone out there thinking of buying them (please note, that this was only 1 person complaining - he may have had a dodgy player or something and they may be fine to play, but just reporting back what I saw)
Other than that, Boro is fantastic and Im gutted to be back
Go to any of the resorts summer or winter and you can pick up pirates. Was in Sunny beach in the summer and every corner seems to have a shop selling them. Bought a few to play while out there as the TV's crap. Most of them were watchable but quality not good. Had a couple though where you could hear the cinema audience laughing and one where the guy in front got up and walked past the bloke filming. Sorry, quite disagree. I have bought loads over the years, and with the very odd exception theyve been brilliant. Came back two weeks ago with all the latest films and they are very good value for money. Now in fairness i may have the advantage of being a regular and the guys know me, but alos it depends on where yopu get them from,in borovets the one almost opposit the 'royal plaza appts' is very reliable(in front of eagle rocks restaurant)
I also bought loads of dvd's and all of them were excellent...but i went to a guy that was advertising "watch before you buy"..so i looked at mine one by one and skipped to various points on the dvd with no problems. The guy in the shop wasnt phased by the time i took either.
