Just back from Boro last night, feeling very sad now, I wanna still be there!!!!
Had a great time, met some wonderful people (Danish family.......lovely daughter ) & missing it all badly now.
I HATE how we can be in Boro in the morning and at home in the afternoon, goddamn the world is too small now
Anyway,
Stayed at the Rila, Food was fair, but a little tepid, saunas were great, massages veeeeeery nice waitresses and reception staff even nicer

It snowed every night, leaving fresh layer on sloped each day, and conditions were very good for skiing.
They are now running the snow blowers every night to boost the conditions, so slopes are very fresh every day.
So dont worry about skiing conditions, go with confidence and a big and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, you lucky buggers, .....50 weeks, 6 days, 7 hours, 43 minutes to go....
I know how you feel Mark, but I just remembering all the fun and games that were had when there and i find myself grinning like a cheshire cat or lol, so people now think I'm even stranger than normal. At least you know when you're returning I have absolutely no idea.
Hi CL,
Yeah, home seems so terribly "small" to me when I come back from any hols, I always get "post holiday blues" for a day or two after, hoping to meet up with Danish family next year, nothing booked yet, hope you get some idea sorted soon.
I returned from Boro on Sunday. I know exactly how you feel. Up until about 5 or 6 years ago, I got the post holiday blues every time I came back. However, suddenly the blues stopped coming. But after Boro they returned. I don't know why. Perhaps the place (and more probably the friends I met and got so close to) got to me.
So what to do now?
Look to the future. I'm told that next years brochures are out soon (later this month) and the best discounts are available by booking early. ...

We booked by internet, much cheaper than package tours!!
Only booked on 23rd Dec too
Will only ever do it this way from now on, the Dutch family we met are personal family friends of a rep, so we will book direct with him next time, possibly cheaper, but definetely preferential treatment We got some good deals this time too.
As you say, its the friendships you forge that make it hard to come back, its an activity thing I guess, common interests/trials etc forge stronger bonds.

Best treatment for Post Holiday Blues (aka PHB) is to book your next holiday when you get back... even if it's only a weekend visit to an old friend, it'll take your mind off where you've been.
I keep my phtos on my laptop and have them set up as a slide-show-screen-saver. Just looking at my photos of The Gambia, Windermere and Paris make me feel warm, remember the feeling of the monkeys' little fingers, smell the pollution of the city, feel highspeed rain on my face ... and the hangovers ...

Don't look at work as a punishment but as a means to and end (the holiday).
