Feezing Level??

I have been wasting time looking at Metcheck and was wondering what the significance of the freezing level in relation to resort level etc was?

Am I asking the obvious?

re: Feezing Level??

The freezing level is the altitude at which water would freeze ie 0 degrees. It is important in relation to the resort level in that it predicts whether the precipitation will fall as rain or snow. The freezing level will hopefully be below the resort level and we will all have plenty of snow. If the freezing level is too high then rain will fall instead of snow.

That makes sense i hope, well almost.
