Filming on the slopes

This might be interesting ... just got two mini camcorders for just over a tenner, including postage.

They are about the size of your thumb, and record fairly decent video and sound ... I wouldn't put it up on the big screen, but great for youtube, and they cost less than the p&p on a GoPro HD Sports Camera!

Have a hunt, google MD80 mini dv camera and see what you think. I got mine from Hong Kong, but there are UK stockists ... shop around. There are a lot of youtube videos too, mainly ...

That's the reason I'm posting ... you get little plates with it, but short of screwing it on, any suggestions on how to attach it? Already looked at a sat nav holder with a suction cup, but the experiments looked far too bouncy, even when passed through some image stabilisation software.

You could put some very good gaffer/carpet tape on the board then glue the camera to the tape on the board?

Hi mate..
Does it have a normal threaded mounting point ?? as a normal camera has ??? if so use a mini camera wall mount, the sort of thing they put up cctv cameras with. We have just bought 3 off e-bay, £1.99 each, and i will rivet them to our helmets (ski and mtb) as Phil did with his camera mounts... solid and adjustable (film backwards ??)

It doesn't Steve, it's too small for a hole like that. It does come with a few mounts, so I think a combination of those, the duct tape than Ian suggested and a few big elastic bands.

The GoPro Hero camera has a big waterproof mount that fits onto the front of a surfboard, going to try and fashion myself one of those.
