Finlandia Hotel

Hey we're staying here from 2/3/08 and just want to know how far away it is from the resort centre, i.e. is it within walking distance to plenty of other hotels/bars/nightclubs? Booze

Also is it best to take Euro or Leva?

Hi Keely

You need to take a few lev & english notes, must be clean & not torn, rate is as good as in M & S etc out there.

We're staying in Finlandia 2/3/08 for 2wks, sis n law & me for 1st week & our husbands & 1son joining us for 2nd week.

Its too far to walk to resort centre but hotel does bus in/out & if you get taxis just make sure you agree price before getting in.

Its a nice hotel, clean & staff friendly.

Where you flying from? Which airline?

Hiya we're flying from EMids with Balkan holidays, but not sure which airline. We're really looking forward to it now... just need to make sure we've got plenty of thermals if its colder than the UK is now! lol

re: Finlandia Hotel

Hi Keely,

We stayed there last month, great hotel, foods Ok, may need to use the microwave for your soup (yes they do have one)! I would take mainly lev with a small amount of sterling (just in case). The whole resort is reasonably expensive in comparison to "normal Bulgaria" but then again it's a purpose built resort and one can expect to pay a bit more. Make sure you don't under pack i.e. take enough normal clothing as well as thermals etc

Enjoy
