First Day in Bansko

Hello Everyone

Flying out to Bansko for half term week (17-24 Feb) with 5 other adults and 5 kids - 4 of us have skied before but the rest haven't and I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the procedure is for the first ski school day as wherever else I have been it a right bun fight for equipment/Gondola/school etc but I have only ever really had myself and one other to think about - Staying at the Lion with Inghams

Will I need to take large amounts of Valium?

re: First Day in Bansko

15 of us arrived in boro a week last friday - most on their 1st ski holiday & some on their second.

It was a mass bun fight for the equipment and instructors but we managed to negotiate two instructors to take the whole group as one, which worked v. well.

Good luck

My advice would be to make sure you wake up extra early and get to the gondola station just before they start running otherwise you will be fighting with the masses trying to get up the mountain. it isn't very pleasant and will stress you out massively!

Agree with carver, 1st morning is the worst!

can be a nightmare on first day .get up really early get all your stuff ,then hop back on the bus for breakfast in hotel before heading up the gondola.i did it at xmas and was on the mountain by 9.30 missed any queueing.have a coffee or quick first run of the day before the crowds arrive

re: First Day in Bansko

We're going on Sunday to Sunday 18th - 25th. Am i right in thinking that as Saturday is the changeover day for "the big tour operators" then the Sunday for us will be less hectic to get kit etc and into gondola & up mountain - i'm dreading it as i've got 15, 13 and 8 yr olds.
