you will have a great time in borovets it is ideal for beginers ,most of the instructers are great.only change a bit of money in the hotel as you will get a much better exchange rate in the banks.there is a bank at the gondola (with cash point),1 at the ela hotel,1 at the samakov hotel( in the basement)and 1 just up the road from the gondola (with cashpoint).make sure you have some good boots for walking about at night ,it can be very very icey (more chance of hurting yourself than on the slopes )try the black tiger for a drink at night opposite the rila and the white magic for a meal near the samakov hotel.as for skiing tips lean forwards all the time,and if i can ski anyone can.if you are happy with your instructer,give him a tip (they do not earn much) just have fun
