Going to Pamp mid Jan. I am a non skier, however am considering trying it, although very nervous re instruction.
Can anybody give me some idea of what it is like and can I arrange to hire equipment in resort and if so is it a lot more expensive than prebooking in UK?
The majority will tell you to prebook before you go. As for instruction lets be honest it really does depend on your instructor. I have found the instructors I had were very patient and a good laugh as well. I was very nervous and lucky enough to have a great instructor who I still keep in contact with. I suggest you go in a group then you can all laugh at each other and you will make friends too. This way you will not feel you are the world's worst student. The best advice I can give ...

Please remeber Lisa that everyone in your group will be in the same boat as you so just relax and DO NOT give up after your first day. Took my Father in 2001 and he was 65 so if he can do it so can you!
I think you should give it a go especially in Pamps, I learnt there and the instuctor was really good and patient everyone in the group encouraged each other. I also managed to adjust slightly to a fear of heights I managed all lifts although single chair still a threat but /i just get help to pull down bar and look straight ahead .......
