First Trip To Borovets

Having never been on a skiing trip before. We are going over xmas. Only going for a week so want to get the best out of it. My girls are 12 and 9 and can ski a little. We live in Cyprus so have no ski domes or dry slopes to practice on. Any info would be greatly appreciated.Many thanks

Welcome to the forum. If it's your first time I'm guessing you would benefit from lessons and need to hire equipment? If you do I can put you in contact with people who can assit you with the packages on that. You may wish to check out Carvers or Snowmasters. I'm not sure how basic you need the advice so please feel free to ask any specific questions. I would suggest that you bring your own snow gear inc base layers, socks, gloves, goggles. jacket and pants. I find that usually ...

I find that usually I'm warm enough with base layer and jacket and pants, however if you feel the cold then layers are the key. Any outdoor of ski shop will help you out. Your hire package should include boot's, ski's, pole's and helmet's (a must in my view).
Have you booked your accomodation as yet? If not then there are lots of regulars on here and we also have a Facebook page set up, so please feel free to click to join where you will find masses of help on anything Borovets, Ski and Snowboarding ...

Now then thats the boring bits out the way, Apre Ski, Bobbys Bar is where you want to be after a big day on the slopes. Loads of us congragate there and discuss the thrills and spills of the day and get involved in the Ski or Snowboard banter.
As I said anything else just ask.

Hi Sean,As you know, your wife contacted me and I have tried to help and hopefully everything is now sorted for your Christmas trip. Hopefully you are all excited and ready for loads of snow!
