I am looking for advice on skiing with 2 kids (ages 7 & 5 years) and 2 adults in Bulgaria for the first time. We used to ski in Austria but looking for a cheaper alternative and like the look of Borovets. We live in Scotland so would need to fly out of either Glasgow or Ediburgh I guess. Also wondering about accommodation, initially thinking of a chalet but doesn't look like this is an option in Bulgaria?? Not sure how it would work with a hotel can you get family rooms?? Any advice would ...

Hi Pam, what about an apartment? that way you can all be in one apartment but in separate bedrooms? Some apartments are attached to hotels so you can have the option of self catering or half board using the hotel facilities. An apartment would certainly be easier to obtain than a chalet.
Hey you can get some good deals with Balkan, i always book a family room in the iglika and usually the kids get there own room, the food is good and the Bar even better. Very close to the slopes. i always use it as it is a good base with good food and well priced.
We have a 4 bedroom villa just outside Borovets that we let. We also went last year for first time with two children (2& we all really enjoyed it. If you want more info on the villa private message me.
