First time skiers

Its our first time skiing and are so looking forward to the 27th We are staying at Hotel Lion - anyone stayed here before? Last lesson on the dry slope today and its chucking it down with rain!

hi jayne have stayed at the lion the past 2 years its really nice clean. has a pool nice bar and in a nice quiet position only a 10/15 min walk in to town of an evening and the free bus runs everyday and very reliable you will have a great time as i did the previous 2 times i stayed there

p.s the only down side is the food very hit and miss but i think its the same in every hotel

We're staying there form the 20th - heard its very nice. clean etc... food i think is a hit and miss everywhere - heard teh breakfast is pretty nice..

Ditto with the above messages on the Lion, but with the food, we usually found something to eat, ate out a couple of times for a change of scenery.

Rooms are nice size and comfortable, but the hotel was really warm when we've stayed there before - take some short sleeve t-shirts with you. I didn't and spent the week roasting in long sleeves. Open fire in the bar area, very cosy. Have a great time - we're back to the Lion in Feb.

Thanks to you all for your positive messages - we are really looking forward to going now & lets hope the snow continues - have you checked the webcams?

I am staying at the lion with my 2 boys from the 21st, glad to hear the good reports, be positive the snow will come
