Hi all
A gang of us are coming to Borovets on the 15th Jan for the first time skiing and to Bulgaria. We really don't know what to expect. We just want a good laugh skiing, a clean hotel as a base and some lively bars in the evening.
We are staying in Hotel Samokov.
Can you give me an idea of what to expect on this holiday please?? I am so excited x

hi sam , i stayed at the samakov last year , the hotel is fine , people seem to have bad things to say about this place but ignore them, they call it a four star, well , its not a four star as you and i would know , but its fine .
rooms are small but warm and comfy and theres stacks of hot water for you to have a nice hot bath after your skiing.
the resturant is good with a large selection of food buffet style. outside the resturant is a large bar and downstairs is a night club and theres ...

the resturant is good with a large selection of food buffet style. outside the resturant is a large bar and downstairs is a night club and theres a panorama bar higher up.
the ski hire and ski school great and the instructors are 1st class.
go with a view to enjoying a diffrent culture and you will have a great holiday.

Stayed there last year over Xmas. Hotel was equivalent to a Spanish 3 star but clean and the food was good. Ski depot in the basement. Slidoo safari lasts between 40 minutes and 1 hour and our trip was through the forest up a narrow track - good fun but at 60 levs each a bit on the expensive side. For a real thrill on the skidoo make sure you catch the 'taxi' from the bar at the bottom of the nursery slopes at the Gondola top station.
