Hi all i have been visiting this site for about a week now and you all sound really nice people. This is our first but not last skiing holiday ( borovets on 3rd feb ) and was wondering if the people at the resort are as good a laugh as you all seem. My 5 year old son has had a few lessons here along with myself and my wife who are at level 5 standard and was wondering how snow compares to dry slopes and what are the kindergarden classes like.
Thanks all and i hope you all have a great season.
We were first timers last year. Had lessons and were about same grade as you. MUCH easier on real stuff. mind you - we were glad we'd had lessons - we were able to go straight onto slopes and avoid queues on nursery slopes. You'll have a great time!
Hello and welcome to the board. Always good to have new enthusiastic skiers/boarders join in the fun!
I go to Bansko every year and so cannot comment about Bansko. However, if Borovets is anything like Bansko, I can confirm that, yes, the people are just as friendly and welcoming as you read on this board. We all love the snow/skiing and the Bulgarian people that together make for a brilliant ski holiday.
The ski schools are brilliant - honest. I don't have children so I can't comment ...

You'll love it and have a fantastic skiing holiday. Enjoy!!
Thanks for the replies its abit sad but all i want to do at the moment is ski and i know that this is more than likley what you all feel like and is normal but because i've only been sking for about 2 months it feels wierd.
What you need is good instruction with a good all-round ski instructor. This you will find in Bulgaria and they will get you to where you want your skiing to be.
I'm very critical about my technical skiing ability and am therefore never satisfied until I have mastered a certain technique (drives the wife mad at times!). I have been taught everything I know from Bulgarian ski schools, so they can't be too shabby!
hey we are of to borovets 23 and my daughter has to be able to ski black runs with moguls comfortably by feb when she has her exam there, should she tell them when she gets there and will they help
cheers only 3 sleeps
