I booked the Mula Hotel which according to the brochure is not far from the Gondala lift.I have read very good reports about this hotel.I chose this hotel as there was no single suppliments.
I am going in the first week in March, can anybody tell me the usual snow conditions for then.
hi
the Mura is close to the gondola. It is an ok hotel. Basic but usually clean. As with any resort no one can really predict the snow but late Feb and early March usually have good conditions so you should be fine. Regarding ATMs there are plenty in the resort and they will give much better rates than the change bureaus. For beers expect to pay between 2-4 lev (1-2 euro) per pint. Under £1 for large beer is certainly not UK prices. You can get large beers in various bars for 2 levs. It's nice as well. Mura is a nice hotel and it is close to the Gondola. I would recommend Green King (opposite Gondola) for a great cheap meal and large beer was 2 levs here last year and the people were lovely. If you do go you must order the sesame bread- god I'm hungry just thinking about it - H x
Hi Skialot and H
Thanks for your info, and now looking forward to going.
Which ski runs did you both most enjoy most, and is it better to hire ski equipment and ski pass there or with Inghams.
I think with Inghams is cheaper. You get to hire all the equipment and lift pass and tuition all day everyday for £165 for adults. Can't beat that. I like skiing down from the top of mountain. You can ski half way down as well to a chair lift and go again. Most of the runs are really good. If snow not great at the bottom there is always lots going on at the top. If you ski with an instructor then they will take you everywhere. Enjoy, it's brilliant fun in Borovets - H x
