First timers

hi excuse the stupid questions but my wife and i are first time skiers and wondering where and when you get your ski gear boots and skis etc in the resort? what footwear do you wear if u dont have ski boots ?

Not silly at all. As you are first timers DO NOT BUY your gear you may find you dont like it after 5mins

You can hire boots and skis poles on most street corners in resorts.

jackets and trousers you need to buy, in my opinion, as for your feet whilst not skiing I use my trusty 10 year old DM's

I just wear trainers but you can wear moon boots/ snow boots. There are loads of places to get ski's and boots from your best off shopping round for the cheapest and newest. hope this helps

Take rubber soled boots to wear around resort. If you have booked a package holiday then your rep will tell you where to get your skis from and more than likely accompany you.

Hi Also first timers/ could someone give me an idea of the cost per person for hire. I am aware if will just be a gerneral, But i'd like to budget it in. Also What about renting a car, is there any need,or would Hotel transfer to airport pick up do. I see a return for 3 is €154. I take it that is for all ? Am I right,.!!?

I recommend wearing snow boots between hotel & Ski hire place, and also for walking around town at night. Make sure the wife doesnt wear her high heels at night....A pair of jeans & snow boots are what everyone else will be wearing. The snow boots are currently on sale in Aldi stores....& are good quality. Enjoy your first time!!!!

If you are first timers you should book your ski hire beginners packs through your tour operator as it is far cheaper.Your tour rep will sort it all out for you on the first morning. As to gear to wear there are some really good deals on at the moment in most places in the uk for ski trousers and jackets. At night just wear trainers or rubber soled boots.

Well isn't it just as well i'm not a high heel kind of woman. Me and moon boots will go very well thank you. It's the husbands high heels I'd be more worried about.
No i'm sure his motor bike boots will do the trick.
