Use banks or hotels to change money dont change with vendors on the street. Breakfast is ok in the hotels evening meals can be very average in the hotels but most restaurants offer good food at very reasonable prices. If you need to get a taxi anywhere agree the price first with the driver. Get your ski pack boked before you go (cheaper). Take cash (Sterling) no travellers cheques, make sure all the notes are clean and not to creased as they wont be accepted. Take a credit card as an emergency but you will struggle to purchase with it. There are cash machines now which you can use with credit cards or switch(meastro) for extra cash if need be. As soon as you check in get a saftey deposit box and use it straight away for your cash and valuables. Probably one last thing if you want to use the phones get a phone card.

Forget hotel food - pretty dire.
Breakfast was occassionaly reasonable the two previous times I've been.
Best to eat out.
You can book self catering and take all meals out - the meals are cheap.
Don't be tempted to change your money with anyone on the streets, stick to the banks or hotels. Street vendors fob you off with old currency that is worthless. A couple got stung out of £200 last time we was there.

Other than that it is a good resort and you will have plenty of fun.

PS. Don't let age worry you. Last time we went a lady of 63 was in the same group as my wife & kids and she had a great time.
