The mont blanc apartments are good. Apartments are well kitted out with all you need. It is in a good central location about 5 to 10 min walk to the gondola and the same to the center of town. They also run a shuttle bus back and forth to the Gondola if you dont fancy the 10 min walk. (Imaging having to walk for a whole 10 mins to the Gondola before spending 8 hours on skis)The building also has a gym hot tub sauna and steam room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It right next to a pub called Sir Galahads which can be good craic except for the Karoke on many nights. There is generally very little noise from the pub to disturb your stay in Mont Blanc. The food in the pub is edible but you can get much better food in one of the many traditional mehanas in the center of the town
Bansko is a fantastic place, and the skiings great. The happy end bar, just opposite the bottom gondola station, is a nice place to meet up at the end of the day, there's plenty of good bars and restaurants about and the old town has a real 'old worldy' Bulgarian feel to it which is lovely. The people we met were very welcoming and friendly, i would reccomend Bansko to anybody.
