Flaine - Anyone been?

Anyone been to Flaine in France? Probably gonna book for feb. Any advice would be tremendous.

french place with the best snow record-fact year on year.closest resort to Geneva airport30 min.good skiing and links(Grand Massive) abit ugly buildings but recently canadian company started to renovate(cosmeticaly) them so it should be good.a-ah and direct views of Mont Blanc

worked there for 2 seasons, great resort ski to the door, if not much snow there are lots of rocks also dont go off piste without a guide it is really dangerous, lots of deep holes that get covered in snow, skiing is brilliant, nightlife ok if a little limited but skiing and convenience of resort makes up for it, great also if you have kids any other questions ask away

Great stuff - nick, we're gonna probably stay in a chalet in Flaine Heuire (or something like that) which is 1km away fromt he main resort.

Buses run all day between Le Hameau and the Foret and Forum. Never stayed up there myself. Always stayed in main area and have been about 9 times now. Like Mikey said theres a lot of concrete but unless your there for the achitecture. Defo go for Grand Mass lift pass and get over to the other sides. Well worth getting the first lift (Grands Van) of the day and head over to Morillon or Les as you have the slopes pretty much to yourself. Last year spent more time that side than ...
