Flat bits

As I'm going out to Pamps with my snowboarder hat on, are there any runs I should avoid. It's something that I've never really thought about before, but it looks like there may be a few flat bits between runs. Not a problem if you can push with poles, but a pain in the @rse if you have to undo a binding and skateboard for a bit. Any areas that might cause a problem?

Robert you will just have to get of you board mate! I did not know you are a boarder you have gone down in my estimation now

Seems that their was a tiny amount of snow last night and maybe today as well. That site I found the other day is a Bulgarian site and it predicts snow all day on sunday!!! God I hope it is correct.re: Flat bits
Been skiing from the age of seven, mainly at the wee dry ski slope near my house and a fair few trips up to Glencoe.
I ended up working part time at the slope and it was decided to buy half a dozen boards for hire, using the ski boots we already had to go with them. I was chosen to head up to Hillend in Edinburgh and learn how to board, so I could pretend I knew what I was talking about as I gave out the hire boards.

If you are able to cope with red runs then it is possible to avoid any walkie bits from top to bottom. However the main and most popular decent will involve a 5 minute walk for boarders before the final blue decent.Avoid the run down to the lakes, (beyond the button lift) on the back blue as this will involve a lot of walking.
Alternatively, leave the board in your room and get some skis

Robert the bottom half of the green back down to the 3 man chair is 300m walk. I should know this as I towed my 2 girls through it ever day. Best to stay high and leave that run for last to get down. Best snows at the top anyway hope that helpsre: Flat bits
Just bomb it as fast as you can down the hill, (avoiding the skiers of course) and cruise over the flat bits.re: Flat bits
Dear CI hope you stop quickly on your board, I had a nasty injury to my knee because a boarder during Feb half-term thought I was a tree!

Like a car with ABS. In 5 years of snowboarding I have never crashed into a skier. I have howerver been hit in the face several times by skiers ski poles.
I sympathise with your injury, as I do see the type of snowboarder you describe on the slopes. I went with some beginners to Borovets this year and in the first two days their boarding instructor never taught them how to stop. We took them out and taught them ourselves.
