re: Flight Prices/Booking Independently

The secret to booking a diy holiday is booking the flights as soon as they are released, not a huge demand for the 1st week in Jan tho so you would prob get flights for £200ish for the 4 of you, i paid £80 per person 1st week in feb and £110 per person with ski carraige the Jan flights were quite a bit cheaper...

I booked our flights early on when they were first released. We have 5 return flights Manchester to Sophia for £420 including ski's for two and all taxes. We would rent our apartment out for that week for between £350 and £400 (it sleeps 6 people) and are paying around £200 for transfers. So total around £1000.

You can get better discounts on the ski packages if you go with a tour operator but I still reckon it is cheaper to do it all separately. Of course you have the risk factor if ...

re: Flight Prices/Booking Independently

You could hire a car for less than 240 a week which also gives you flexibility.
Presumably you'll also have to eat at some stage during the week and a package would probably offer half board (of admittedly likely dodgy quality)
