re: Flights??

Flight takes just under 3 hours.

I tried to get a return flight-only to Sofia earlier this year, but as most of them are chartered for package deals you will struggle to get a cheap direct flight.

Best deal I could find was nearly 200 quid with Air Austria. But when I tried to book it was unavailable.

You would be better off booking a package holiday

re: Flights??

I disagree!!

We have flights over new year from london for £169.00 . It's not a direct flight but it's really cheap!!
We booked everything ourselves - the chalet and transfers from this website and the flights from www.airline-network.co.uk. We managed to save £200 from the brochure prices over the new year!!!

Bargain!!

Lets hope there's some blo*dy snow now!!

re: Flights??

I booked my flight today on the british airways website. BA fly LHR to Sofia every day I think and the standard cost is £168.00. I will be in Borovets at the end of January.

re: Flights??

We've also booked with BA directly over the internet. We booked in March for Feb Half Term at the standard return price of £168. Their pricing works on basic economics of supply and demand - as demand increases so do prices. They went up eventally to over double the price!!

BA run scheduled flights daily to Sofia at around 7.30 ish and return midday. We also flew with them last Feb and were delayed 11/2 hours coming home and they provided us with meal tokens to be used in the airport ...

There are no discounts for the kids as such but we have still managed to save £300 odd by doing everything direct this season.

Fingers crossed that we don't get any problems. Try this site for accommodation - We booked directly with the Alpin Hotel at the same price as advertised here. Also they will arrange ski packaged etc.

Have fun what ever you decide to do.
