Flu in Bansko

Can anybody who lives in Bansko tell me if the flu epidemic is bad there. Crazy Lady or Joy Applebee perhaps.

Hi Val,
My son went down with the flu about three of weeks ago, nothing helped he was in bed for nearly two weeks then took another week to fully recover although he did end up with a chest infection.
Haven't heard of any other cases but been very busy
Neither me nor my husband caught it so it can't be that contagious
May have had a longer recovery time due to too many late nights

Thanks for that Joy. Hope your son is fully recovered now. Out on 26th. Can't wait. 16 sleeps to go.

My only worry would be if they quarantine Sofia will the airport close

I'm in Bansko now and this is the first I've heard of flu of any description... never mind an epidemic!

If you're that worried, stay away from crowded places.... but you'll only be missing out on the oportunity to have a great holiday!

Hi

Just returned from Borovets and according to ski instructors a few of the schools have been closed because it has been so bad. My son and I were ill whilst we were there with very bad colds (ok, may not be related). But do take lots of cold remedies, tablets etc just in case. Coldrex bought from the pharmcy in bg is very good.
