Hey people hows things.
Can anyone tell me the deal with british airways and snowboards.
My baggage allowance is 23kgs,but my snowboard stuff is carried free in addition to my usual allowance. On ba's site it says
'Snow Equipment is carried free in addition to your normal baggage a maximum weight of 23kg (51lbs) applies to each bag'
So does this mean my snowboard bag can be up to 23kgs and my suitcase can be 23 kgs and i dont have to pay any extra baggage charge.
Well I never went skiing with BA. But i'm going to Bansko in 3 weeks time. Will be flying with Air Malta and they told me that if we shall be skiing equipment we will have double of the normal weight ie 40kgs instead of the standard 20kgs. I must assume that BA will have the same policy.
I understand it to mean that your allowance is still 23kg including your gear but they don't charge you any extra for it. I would be interested to know what they say about it though. If you call them first post it up and I will do the same. No time to do it now though 'cos off out to get some ski training in.
