What do you suggest - that we book a hotel with HB or just BB - is it worth it that you go out to eat at night rather than staying in the hotel ? And what about prices ? Are HB cheaper than having a dinner out ?
depends what hotel you stay in and to be honest the food can vary itself so its worth trying the hotel food
we alwasy go HB and the children eat alot in the hotel and we go with them and try it breatkfast the kids loved there the dinner was hit and miss abit but still good and its so cheap to eat out that it didnt matter anyway
We are staying @the Rila in Boro for the second time - didn't eat in much last year but food is ok in there.
One of the best restaurants we found is 'Blue' which is a place that looks like something out of a nursery rhyme. It is up a side street infront of the Rila on the right.
There is another top restaurant (yellow fronted) on the left up the same street which we tried one evening where they have live bands on and do wine 'presentations' every half hour or so, none of us can ...

am going to be staying at the samakov hotel, i experienced the delights of bulgarian cuisine last year in Pamporovo and to be honest its ok. breakfasts are fine with plenty of choice, but we found at nights there was recycled food in the form of "Happy Sausages" "Happy burgers" "Happy Chicken" etc etc etc. salads were pretty good and theres tatties too so you wont starve. the food on the slopes is usually mighty fine also.
