Food

Afternoon people

Ive been told it may be a good idea to take snacks like mars bars up on the slopes with us for energy etc as it will be a long day with no food, does anyone else do anything like this, I dont want to have to carry a bag. Question Question

re: Food

Theres no need to take food with you as there are plenty of cheap restruants where you can get a meal. You would much rather have warm food than chocolate bars anyway!

re: Food

I took mars bars and a drink with me up the mountain, but then I also had phone, camera, camcorder, shades, fags, walkman and allsorts of stuff, so I had a bag. That way it didn't matter where I went or what time. I tried to stay clear of the restaurants and Bars on the slopes. I have a soft spot for Brandy chocolate and too much dutch courage with limited skill are not a good mix as I discovered when hurtling down a black!!!

re: Food

I would recommend taking a box of mars bars and Cadburys chocolate as the chocolate in Bulgaria is not the same as in the UK.

I would also recommend taking a bag complete with the following items in case of Avalanche problems:

a torch - to find your way out of the 6ft deep snow you are buried under

a whistle to attract attention

a box of mars bars - in case more than one person gets trapped with you

A hi-vis waistcoat and jacket to attract attention.

A couple of flares

A helicoptor

Hope this helps!
