We are going to Pamps at half term as a family of first timers. My two girls of 9 and 13 are keen to know what footwear is best to wear for the apres ski?
Any help from you fashion concious folks would be great.
Pair of trainers is favourable for indoors, depending on where you are staying, we were in the perelik and only went outside once at night and that was to walk to the Pamporovo about 5-10 mins away but it was very cold -18 so snow was compact.
During the day to get to the slopes we wore hiking type boots, well I wore a pair of cat's and both my wife and daughter wore outside type boots.
I will stress that it wasnt slushy so we were all right, we didnt get wet feet
My wife favours smooth soles and stilleto type heels.
Me and my kids find that trainers are best most of the time. We always take boots but rarely use them but thats perhaps because we've only had mild conditions to contend with.
We find that with clothes generally there is a tendancy to overdress for the first day or two. It can get surprisingly warm.
No - whatever you do, don't get a refund on the boots. They've been the best thing I've bought (other than my skiboots).
I am wearing waterproof, walking boots and today after I'd finished skiing I went walking around instead. Managed to step into about 25cm of fresh snow - right down and my feet stayed dry. Try that in trainers....
