Hi Spongebob - I have already hung mine on the tree in my garden as I saw storks in Greece yesterday . It took just a couple of hours down to the Aegean Sea from the Pamporovo area via the Zlatograd border crossing.
But the storks have arrived in Bulgaria as well. I saw them on the journey down to Sofia today. They obviously knew we were going to have really warm weather this weekend.
Hi Nicky, the road from here to border at Zlatograd is fine but the road down to Greece is a bit of a drive. Not only are there the proverbial bends but the first bit is single lane only. At the mo it is for cars only and it goes up the mountain as well as down in parts - seems strange but that's life. J tells me the road from Rudozhem will be wider and straighter as trucks, coaches etc will be allowed on that one.
You can't really lose your way as it is clearly signposted - we entered ...

You can't really lose your way as it is clearly signposted - we entered just above Xanthi. We then drove through Xanthi about 20 mins south to this beautiful unspoilt beach at Mandra (I think!). It was a lovely warm sunny day .....
Hi Andie, yes he is fine now - fully recovered. We might have to take a ride out there in the summer as long as the car hire company don't mind us taking the car into Greece! Be good when the other crossings open as well it will add a new dimension to summers in Pamporovo!
