Fund Raising Ideas

Just reading Tiger Tim's post really lifted my spirits as sometimes I do wonder if we will ever reach our target - although this is really NOT an option as these children need the heating to work.

I thought if we could all put our ideas down for fundraising, also the people that have been approached to help (like Asda and the school) and any other tips so this may inspire us all to have a go.

For a start:

my grand daughter has asked her school if she can do something and needs some info to give to them. I will prepare something to hand out and anyone wanting a copy you can email me .

On 28th March I am going to have a coffee morning. Does anybody live near Bognor Regis ????
I will have the usual bring and buy, clothes rail, raffle. I have also organised for a couple of therapists to do mini treatments to make it a bit different. Wish me luck!

I've collered all my mates, then went into a renault garage and collered every single person who works there...got £40 from that alone..

Keep the ideas coming guys..

If 50 people on here raise £100 and 25 people raise £50 and 10 raise £10 then we will be £1350 closer to the goal...

If we all pull together we CAN AND WILL make a differance, this is the time for effort guy's..

Rant over

Thanks Tiger.

Ann summers sounds a great idea, will ask my daughter to hold one Very Happy

Sam on the other thread said that there are strict rules when holding a raffle - I just looked it up on the web
http://www.drawtickets.com/page8.html and it seems as though I should get a licence which you have to pay for. Has anybody else done this? For the sake of the fund I think I may be a naughty girl and break the law - coming from a lady who is scared to stop on a double line.

Why don't you get a christian charity involved, they send out work parties in the summer months to do work and help the kids, before somebody rants off about cost, all the volountry workers have to get their fares and keep funded by sponsorship. The Orphanage I visit was 10 years ago like yours, now thanks to this help, the girls have their dormitories, no more than 3 to a room, same for the boys, showers, Baths and Flush Toilets, this summer work is going to be focused on Schooling and ...

American Evangilists built them a playground with good apparatus. Remember these kids need the support everyday of the year. F.F.

re: Fund Raising Ideas

I am running the edinburgh marathon in May as of yet have no charity to run for, would be happy to run for the orphanage, sure we could get some sponsor forms made up if anyone wants to try and get sponsors for this, might get my ass of the sofa a bit more.

re: Fund Raising Ideas

F.V. did get this going - my post on other forum (mate of Pete) not sure if I am allowed to say it. Too much red tape, etc. What orphanage did you help?

Thanks Sam, great.
