Am flying from Gatwick/sofia next week, a friend told methat when she went away from South terminal before christmas, she queued for 2.5 hours to get through security, has anyone experience the same recently or was it a bad time at christmas!

must been bad time the cues were massive , but only cued for about 20 minutes they went really quickre: GATWICK SECURITY
was busy at xmas,forgot about 4 bottles of water in my sons bag-lost that as we coulnt drink 4 bottles in 2 mins!!!all makeup/liquids had to be put in clear bags and even had to put our shoes through the scanner!!better to be safe than sorry though!re: GATWICK SECURITY
Flew from Gatwick on 30th Dec., cues weren't that bad.However hand luggage was searched and several items taken away and during the process somebody picked up the wife's 150. quid Gucchi sunglasses !!
