Do you have an android phone? If so there are quite a few apps that claim to do all of this.

Hi Banskoboy,

Drew in the 28th crew to Borovets had a great app for his smart phone.

Francis do you remember the name of the app ???

re: GPS toys for christmas

thanks for your comments so far. If I do get an i phone, will the app cost me each time its running, ie. all day, or do I need 3G for it to work. can you tell I spend my time thinking about skiing and not about the latest gadgets!!!

re: GPS toys for christmas

it only uses GPS so no data roaming needed (therefore no cost)... and it doesn't have to be an iphone for Ski Tracks... pretty sure there is an android version....

I used it last year in Bansko - nice little app...

re: GPS toys for christmas

Yeah ski tracks is the one. I was skiing with some people a couple of years ago who were using it and I don't think they were on iphones. I was impressed with it. I think I saw some goggles that worked on gps also and the info appeared in the lens, I think they were £300/£400

Ski traccks is the APP to have on iPhone or iPod touch which is cheaper to buy if you don't want an iPhone. Paul.
