Galtur

Couldn't get a travel agent package to Bulgaria, so have booked Galtur instead 1st week of April, anyone been there?

Galtur ( Austria indeed - close to the border of Switserland ) is very beautifull, at high altitude, so very sure of snow. Close to the famous ski resort Ischgl. At the very end of the valley. Small village.
Few years ago they had a horible 'avalanche". Many people got killed, houses down etc.
Later they build a big wall for protection.
Sure you will like the skiing there, atmosphere is much different from BG. though.

Just been to Ischgl. Big drinking culture. Its linked to 4 other resorts in the valley so you'll get plenty of ski variety. The place itself is very quiet.

To clarify - the ticket is linked, the resorts are not physically linked but I guess there is probably a bus service. These Austrians tend to be rather organised.
