Gerkins?

Gerkins?

Last time I was in Borovets (1991) I seem to remember only ever eating plates and plates heaped with sliced gerkins. I even got them on the Balkan flight there and back. I wondered if anyone recently back from Boro could fill me in on the latest concerning the gerkin situation.

I stayed in Iglika Palace and there was gerkin salad every night.

On the Balkan flight in we had a scabby salad, containing a gerkin like substance, a few slices of meat and cheese, an olive and a Mars bar. On the way home we had the same again but with a Snickers.
