Getting Cash in Borovets

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if it is easy and cheap to get cash out of the cash machine in Borovets and if that is the best way to get LEVS. Or should I bring cash to cut down on commission/bank charges. Thanks

yes you can use ATM's. earlier in the season there were some problems as the new UK chip & pin cards did not work in all the ATM. The ATM in the Flora apartment complex worked for everyone apparently

I took sterling and changed at a cash booth. Changing cash is a piece of cake, I was happy with 2.80 levs to the pound and no commission, not far off the 2.86 I got at m&s back here in the UK. By the end of the week I payed for my snowboard tuition in pound notes.

You can use the cash machines no problem, bank will charge a fee - round £1.75 so get as much as you can once, rather than going for the odd fiver every day. there are at least 5 cash machines in the resort.
