Sorting out gear ready for Jan -
Would my 6 yr old be better off with mitts or gloves, (she may not be skiing) & advice on sunglasses for her?
We're staying at the Murgavets - will I be able to rinse out socks etc and dry on radiators over night? (Only a question a mother could ask probably )
Thanks guys!
We are there when you are Pete - but may be too busy falling over to do any more socks. May remember your request if I get homesick for the housework. As if!!
Personally, I'm a mitts person - keep you much warmer - and you can use a lining glove if you get really cold. Got mine in M&S last year - fab they are.
If your daughter isnt skiing (sure she will, even if its only a little) then she might go to kindergarten where they play games inside and outside, so winter wear is still essential. Gloves make it easier to pickup things, mittens are warmer. I would think due to the age that gloves are better. Do you remember when you were a kid and had gloves. Did your mom tie elastic to them and thread it through your coat arms? Seems a bit silly, but it does work. Stops gloves being lost.

Sunglasses get lost very easily with young ones. Dont spend too much money on the glasses.
Hi HKP - I wish she would go to Kindergarten but she is quite shy and won't go on her own - anyone else got a youngster going to Pamps 22nd Jan?
Not sure how things will work out with the ski lessons as we'll have to take it in turns to "babysit" her. How many people to a ski class usually? As theres 6 already in the family I wondered if she would be able to join us and pay for her there?
Good to see the site getting busy but now my little girls late to school in the mornings
